Kidou

Kidou is one of the four powers possessed by shinigami. It is a type of magic technique used by shinigami. It's used by imagining a black circle in one's mind and then imagining moving towards the center of that circle. There are several different types of kidou. A bakudou is a restraint technique and a hadou is a destructive technique. Kuukaku Shiba has her own special type of kidou used for fireworks, which she calls Kakaku Shahou and Ganjuu Shiba has a spell of no classified type. A list of all the kidou used in bleach can be seen on the kidou page. The incantation of a kidou doesn't need to be spoken for it to be cast, however, there is a decrease in power. The higher the number of kidou, the greater the power decrease. (!)

Here is a list of the known kidou techniques:

Bakudou 1: Sai

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: Makes the one it is cast upon unable to move at all.

(+) Bakudou 58: Kakushitsuijaku

Incantation: Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, heel of the east. Gather the winds and clear away the rain.
Effects: Used to locate people.

(+) Bakudou 61: Rikujoukouryou

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: Something like a bandage or a beam of light comes out of the user's finger and then the abdomen of the victim is confined by six of these bandages/beams of light.

(+) Bakudou 77: Tentei Kuura

Incantation: Black and white demons! Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six helmets and kimonos, footprints, distant thunder, peaks, the turning earth, the dark night, the sea of clouds, the unexperienced file of troops. Rise, great circle, and run to the heavens.
Effects: Used to communicate to people. May be done to more than one person.

Bakudou 99: Kin

Command Phrase: Unknown
Effects: Binds the arms of the one it is cast upon by putting black tape and pins on the arms so they are unable to move at all.

Bakudou 99 Version 2: Bankin

Incantation: First Movement: Shiryuu, Second Movement: Hyakurensan, Final Movement: Bankintaihou
Effects: The first movement binds the victim with cloth. The second movement shoots metal spikes into the victim through the cloth so it cannot be removed. The final movement smashes the victim from above with a huge block of stone, immobilizing and often killing the victim in the process.

Hadou 4: Byakurai

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: Shoots white lightning from the user's hand.

Hadou 31: Shakkahou

Incantation: I command thee! Mask of meat, all creation, flutter, those that bear the name of man! Scorching heat and disturbances, split the seas and send the surging waves south!
Effects: An explosive attack that blasts from the user's hand.

Hadou 33: Soukatsui

Incantation: I command thee! Mask of meat, all creation, flutter, those that bear the name of man! Truth and temperance, merely stand a claw against the wall of the faultless dream!!
Effects: An explosive attack that blasts from the user's hand.

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: Unknown

(+) Hadou 90: Kurohitsugi

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: A large black box appears around the victim, blasting him or her from all sides.

(+)Kakaku Shahou 2: Kagizaki

Incantation: "There! The tanned greed wants 36 degrees of control. 72 pairs of illusions. 13 pairs of horns. the monkey's right hand grabs a star. Carry 25 rings of the sun and the sand of the cradle will flow with blood."
Effects: Used to fire a cannon for fireworks, but can shoot other objects as well. This is the first part of a two part encantation. This part determines the destination of the object.

(+) Kakaku Shahou 2: Follow Up Encantation

Incantation: "The connection of three sparrows, the connection of four dragons, five directions are blocked, without returning 6 ri. Open air, orangutang, spoon, staff of elm, a thousand juices, a thousand points of wisdom, the plans of the clouds. The moon draws near and without stepping on the bloody shadow..." (incomplete)
Effects: Used to fire a cannon for fireworks, but can shoot other objects as well. This is the second part of a two part encantation. This part makes corrections to the speed and trajectory of the object.
Notes: A ri is distance measurement. One ri is about 2.44 miles.

Incantation: Turn to sand.
Effects: Changes things into sand.

(+) Shibashiki Shakasendan: Senpenbanka

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: Throws a lot of lit fireworks at an enemy at once.

(+) Shibashiki Sebahou Ougi: Renkansebbasen

Incantation: Unknown
Effects: Changes a spherical surface into sand (the areas inside and outside the spherical surface remains unchanged).
